Koality Work LLC — Terms & Conditions

This Terms & Conditions applies to Koality Work LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Iowa, operating in Iowa City, Coralville, North Liberty, Tiffin, and surrounding communities.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing this website or engaging Koality Work LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") for services, you ("Customer," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use this website or our services.

2. Services

Koality Work LLC provides handyman and home-improvement services in Iowa City, Coralville, North Liberty, Tiffin, and surrounding communities in the State of Iowa. All services are subject to availability, scheduling, and our service area boundaries.

3. Estimates & Pricing

All estimates are provided in good faith based on information available at the time of inspection or description. Estimates are valid for thirty (30) days unless otherwise stated.

Final pricing may differ from the estimate if:

  • Actual site conditions differ from those initially described or observed

  • Additional work is requested by the Customer

  • Hidden damage, code violations, or unforeseen complications are discovered

We will communicate any material changes in scope or pricing and obtain your written or electronic approval before proceeding. Change orders may result in revised pricing and timelines.

4. Payment Terms

Payment terms are specified in the applicable estimate or service agreement. A deposit may be required before work begins. Remaining balances are due upon completion unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept various payment methods as outlined in your agreement. Late payments may be subject to a fee of 1.5% per month on the outstanding balance. We reserve the right to suspend work on delinquent accounts.

5. Scheduling & Access

You agree to provide reasonable access to the work area during scheduled appointment windows. Delays caused by restricted access or unprepared work areas may result in additional charges or rescheduling. Please review our Refund & Cancellation Policy for cancellation terms.

6. Workmanship Warranty

We stand behind our craftsmanship. Koality Work LLC provides a one (1) year warranty on workmanship from the date of project completion, unless otherwise stated in writing. This warranty covers defects in our work only and does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Customer misuse or neglect

  • Pre-existing conditions

  • Issues caused by other contractors or third parties

  • Manufacturer defects in materials (covered by the manufacturer's own warranty)

7. SMS Communications

By providing a mobile phone number to Koality Work LLC, you consent to receive text messages related to your service requests, appointments, estimates, invoices, job updates, scheduling, and follow-up communications. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your project activity. Reply STOP to opt out of text messages. Reply HELP for help. You may also contact us at hello@koalitywork.com. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number, SMS opt-in status, or SMS consent information with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes. Opting out of SMS communications does not affect your ability to receive services from Koality Work LLC.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted under Iowa law, Koality Work LLC's total aggregate liability for any claim arising from services performed shall not exceed the total amount paid by the Customer for the specific service giving rise to the claim. In no event shall we be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of use, lost profits, or loss of data.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, images, graphics, logos, and design — is the property of Koality Work LLC and protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. See our Copyright & Image Use policy for details.

10. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising under these Terms shall first be submitted to good-faith mediation in Johnson County, Iowa. If mediation fails, disputes shall be resolved by binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, conducted in Iowa City, Iowa. Each party shall bear its own costs and attorney fees unless the arbitrator rules otherwise.

11. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Iowa, without regard to conflict of law principles.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

13. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with any signed service agreement or estimate, constitute the entire agreement between you and Koality Work LLC regarding the subject matter herein and supersede all prior or contemporaneous agreements, representations, or understandings.
